Noah Chaim Freedman
Hi! I am an MD PHD student in the University of Pittsburgh & Carnegie Mellon University Medical Scientist Training Program where I pursue my interests in psychiatry and computational neuroscience. Our thoughts, emotions and actions arise from complex processes in the brain. Through my work, I aim to deepen our understanding of information processing underlying healthy human cognition and how it differs in psychiatric disease. This knowledge can then guide the development of next-generation approaches in psychiatric care.

Currently, I am in my 3rd year of PhD training in the Program in Neural Computation at CMU. Wth my advisors Steve Chase, Aaron Batista & Byron Yu, I study the neural mechanisms of motor action and learning using brain computer interfaces in rhesus macaques.
